Students must complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of instruction to be certified to carry and/or use a baton. Students may not possess or carry a baton until they have a valid Guard Card and Baton Card issued by B.S.I.S.

Guard Card Now utilizes BSIS certified instructors to instruct our students the necessary legal and moral aspects of carrying and use of a baton. Baton permits issued by BSIS are good for any type of baton within California. BSIS no longer issues type specific permits. (i.e. PR-24, Straight, ASP, etc...) Baton permits never expire, assuming you maintain a valid Security Guard Card.

 This course is only offered at our Rancho Cucamonga, California Training Facility.
